MoSi2 heating element is a type of resistance heating element made from high purity Molybdenum

Disilicide. When heated to a high temperature in the oxidizing atmosphere, a layer of compact quartz glass

forms on the surface of the elemen,this layer protects mosi2 heating element from being further oxidized.

In an oxidizing atmosphere, its maximum temperature can reach 1800°C.
